Touch and Tactile Control, Together: A More Intuitive HMI Experience

Flexible interaction designed for diverse operating environments


As equipment becomes more sophisticated, HMI interaction must adapt to different operating conditions and user needs.


Touch interfaces provide flexible layouts and intuitive navigation, while physical knobs offer clear rotational steps, press-to-confirm control, and tactile feedback. This combination is especially valuable in moving or vibrating environments, during gloved operation, or when users need to adjust settings quickly and precisely.


Users can select functions through touch, then use the knob to fine-tune temperature, volume, speed, brightness, pressure, or other parameters. The display simultaneously presents values, operating modes, system status, and alerts, creating a clearer and more efficient workflow.


Depending on the product design and available space, the knob may be combined with a compact display as an independent control interface or integrated directly onto the display surface as a Knob On Display. Both approaches connect physical operation with digital information while supporting flexible interface design.
